The trend is clear. More and more people are now working remotely or have flexible work schedules that allow them to do their job from other locations. WeWork along with a number of other shared workspace companies have popped up in major cities across the world.

As Chicago's largest coworking provider, WeWork, has eight locations and 575,000 square feet either already up and running or in the works. They run a number of spaces in River North and the Loop. The company has stated that they've found the more locations they have in a specific neighborhood the better those locations do. It looks like clustering flexible workspaces within busy business areas meets the demand. No one wants to go to a stuffy office with long gloomy hallways leading to closed off offices and suites. They want connection, conversation, and flexibility.

WeWork has plans to open even more spaces in the Chicago area and has a dedicated real estate, design, and construction team in Chicago planning for new spaces.

Keep your eye out for these new co-working locations!
